What Kind Of Professional Liability Insurance Should A Travel Nurse Carry?

Question:

Dear Donna,

I will be starting to work for a nursing travel agency. What kind of professional liability insurance should I carry? Any advice regarding an insurance agency?

Marianne

Dear Donna replies:

Dear Marianne,

Every nurse should have professional liability insurance for clinical practice. There are many companies out there that offer standard polices for nurses at very reasonable rates. While I cannot recommend one company, I would suggest you ask your nursing colleagues who they use or ask the agency you work with to recommend one.

Best wishes,
Donna
