Cdc Updates Treatment Guidelines For Adults With Hiv

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have issued updated guidelines for the prevention and treatment of HIV-associated opportunistic infections. The CDC said the incidence of these infections has declined dramatically because of the advent of simpler, more potent, and less toxic antiretroviral therapy.

The guidelines appear in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report online at www.cdc.gov/mmwr.
