Abington Memorial Hospital Clinic Opens

A rise in need for services at Abington (Pa.) Memorial Hospital’s OB/GYN Center has led the facility to relocate and expand the clinic.

A new $2.9 million, 8,500-square-foot facility on the hospital’s campus, which features 14 exam rooms, has opened to meet growing numbers of uninsured and underinsured women in the area.

In the past year, the center has had more than 14,800 visits.

The expansion was made possible by a $400,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

The center still plans to operate its satellite clinic at the Abington Memorial Health Center-Warminster campus to accommodate residents of Bucks County.
