Scottsdale Nurse In New Role Aims For Magnet Redesignation

Zarubi Named Vice President Of Nursing Practice At Scottsdale Healthcare

Kathi Zarubi, RN, MBA, was named associate vice president of nursing practice at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare.

Zarubi has helped advance the patient- and family-centered model of care at Scottsdale Healthcare. As part of that model, she chairs its Patient and Family Advisory Council, which is comprised of former patients and their family members who meet regularly to help Scottsdale Healthcare identify areas for improvement in providing care.

Zarubi was instrumental in Scottsdale Healthcare’s achievement of Magnet designation, awarded to Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical and Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical centers in 2006. Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital follows the same patient care practices and will be included as Zarubi and others work toward Scottsdale Healthcare’s redesignation in 2010.
