Umc’s Stroke Program Earns Certification From Joint Commission

University Medical Center earned a Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers in April after commission surveyors conducted an on-site review of the hospital in February.

“We’re proud of this distinction, and we worked hard for it,” says Marty Enriquez, RN, UMC vice president for patient care services, who headed the certification process. “It recognizes UMC’s commitment to provide the best care, from admission to discharge, for the best outcomes after stroke.”
