Saturday March 14, 2009

The publishing division of Harvard Medical School has created a Web site dedicated as an online stress resource center for patients. The resource center is being offered to help patients understand the ways stress affects the body and how to reduce its damaging effects. The site can be viewed by logging on to www.health.harvard.edu/stress.

Among the highlights of the site are an interactive illustration showing how stress triggers physical changes, an instructional video that shows how patients can monitor their blood pressure at home, and commonly asked question about the impact of stress on health. The site also offers tips on common stressors and instructions for relaxation exercises.
