Question:
Dear Donna,
I completed an MSN program, but have not taken the certification exam in family nurse practice. Do you have any suggestions on any books, videos or CDs I can get to effectively review or anything else that may help me prepare for this exam?

Needs To Be Certified
Dear Donna replies:
Dear Needs To Be Certified,
There are many review courses and printed materials available from many sources for taking the FNP certification exam. I could not recommend one over the other. However, I do recommend you contact your state chapter of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (www.aanp.org) and ask the officers which materials they have found to be most helpful. Even better, attend a local chapter meeting, as a guest if not a member, and talk to other FNPs at the meeting.
Best wishes,
Donna
