Question:

Dear Donna,

I am a 20-year-old from South Africa and am still in high school. I am studying business, economics and computer technology. I want to study nursing and would like to know if these courses will be helpful. I love working with people and want to know what I need to do to become a nurse.

Future Nurse

Dear Donna replies:

Dear Future Nurse,

I am presuming you wish to stay in South Africa to study nursing. Start by visiting the website of the South African Nursing Council (www.sanc.co.za/). Also, talk to career or guidance counselors at your school.

Here is a piece you may find helpful. It explains about nursing in South Africa www.ehow.com/how_6771916_become-nurse-south-africa.html

Best wishes,
Donna
