Question:
Dear Donna.
I need to find out how to get my RN license reinstated in South Carolina. After I got my license, instead of going to work I cared for ill family members. My license lapsed in April 2012. I completed 30 CEUs online. What else do I need to do to get my license reinstated? Do I need a new background check and current CPR certification?

Dear Donna replies:
Dear Needs to be Reinstated,
Because your license has been lapsed for less than one year, contact the South Carolina Board of Nursing directly at 803-896-4550 to get these questions answered. They encourage nurses to call and will be happy to answer your questions.
Best wishes,
Donna
