The Falls Church, Va.-based Inova Health Care Services has received one of 41 federal grants to fund early intervention services that support medical, nutritional, psychosocial, and other treaments for HIV-positive patients in medically underserved populations.

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Resources' Health Resources and Services Administration awarded Inova $67,676 as part of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.

The grant also can be used, according to a news release, to hire case managers to help patients access care and remain in treatment.
