BOCA RATON, Fla. — Eighteen healthcare recruiters and representatives from related industries gathered at Boca Raton Community Hospital Wednesday morning for a second meeting with the goal of forming a Southeast Florida chapter of the National Association for Health Care Recruitment. The next planning meeting will be held Dec. 10 at Kindred Health in Riviera Beach and the group hopes to be approved by the national association by Jan. 1.

Attendees expressed interest in using the group as a forum to discuss common problems and exchange solutions. Issues raised in Tuesday's meeting included how to fund preceptors for newly graduated RNs through the state, how to fill dietary expert positions, and how to retain nurses. Cross Country University representatives were on hand to discuss CE opportunities and certification exams.
