Getting regular exercise can cut a woman's risk of cancer, but researchers say those benefits could be nullified by not sleeping enough. In a study involving nearly 6,000 women between ages 18 to 65 in Maryland who exercise regularly, those who slept less than seven hours had a 47% higher risk of cancer.
The study was performed by the National Cancer Institute and reported at a recent meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research.
