Rebecca Wiseman, RN, PhD, an assistant professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, Baltimore, has been named assistant dean for the nursing program at the Universities at Shady Grove, Rockville, Md.

Wiseman, who joined the Maryland nursing faculty in 2002, is the former director of the Governor’s Wellmobile program.

“I am looking forward to working with the faculty and staff at USG as we move toward increasing enrollment at that campus,” Wiseman said in a news release.

The University of Maryland School of Nursing expanded its BSN program at USG last fall to meet the region’s increasing demand for nurses. USG’s enrollment in the BSN program stands at 160, but is expected to nearly double in the next five years.
