Diabetes Raises Postpartum Depression Risk

Pregnant women and new mothers who have diabetes are nearly twice as likely, according to a new study, to suffer from depression. In an examination of 11,000 pregnant women in New Jersey, researchers from Harvard Medical School in Boston showed a link to all types of diabetes, including gestational diabetes. The findings were published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
