Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee has done it again. The American Nurses Credentialing Center has twice named the hospital a member of the Magnet Recognition Program for excellence in nursing services.
“The Magnet award is to nursing what the gold medal is to the Olympics,” Peggy Troy, RN, MSN, president and CEO of Children’s Hospital and Health System, said in a news release. “To retain Magnet status for another four years really underscores the commitment of our entire staff to strive harder each day to meet the healthcare needs of the patients and families we serve.”
The Magnet program recognizes excellence and professionalism in nursing management, philosophy, and practices, adherence to standards for improving the quality of patient care, and attention to cultural and ethnic diversity.
