The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners presented its annual awards to both groups and individuals at its 30th annual conference March 19-21 in San Diego. Abbey Alkon, RN, PhD, PNP, received the Henry K. Silver Memorial Award. The Orange County chapter received a NAPNAP Growth Award. Bonnie Lovette, RN, MS, PNP, Vallejo, Calif., received the Injury Education and Prevention SIG award. Raechelle Dow, MPH, MSN, CPNP, San Diego, /received a Nurse in Washington Internship. Antrina Brantley, BSN, Oakland, Calif., received a NAPNAP/McNeil Scholarship. Emily Skaff, MS, CPNP, Mill Valley, Calif., received a NAPNAP/McNeil Grant-In-Aid. Annamarie Brown, MSN, CPNP, Clovis, Calif., received a NAPNAP/Wyeth Immunization Grant. Liza Jia, MSN, Los Angeles, received a Reckitt Benckiser Student Scholarship. Catherine Goodhue, MSN, CPNP, El Segundo, Calif., received the Foundation Research Grant.
Debra Brady, MSN, BSN, assistant professor of California State University’s Division of Nursing in Sacramento, Calif., received the Outstanding Teaching, University Service and Community Service Award on April 28 from Sacramento State’s Faculty Senate.
