Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill., has been re-designated by Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care.

The honor, which has been awarded to more than 400 facilities across the U.S., is based on volume and quality of cardiac surgical procedures, along with the experience and training of cardiac team members, including the nearly 200 cardiac RNs at Edward, and whether a full range of cardiac services is offered.

The full selection criteria can be seen online at www.bcbs.com.
