RNs at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, Pa., took time during National Nurses Week to show appreciation for each other.

Each nursing department took part in a basket exchange in which one nursing staff put together items representing the receiving department and presented it to the other team.

The conclusion of Nurses Week included ER nurse Kathryn Burnside, RN, receiving the hospital’s Ellis Greenspan Memorial Award. The award is named for the late Grand View physician and honors a recipient who exemplifies the “heart of nursing.”

RNs also received thank yous from administration and were treated to cookies and ice cream sandwiches.
