Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas was recognized with the highest rating — five stars — for clinical excellence in maternity care, based on a study issued by HealthGrades. According to the study, Methodist Charlton ranks among the top 5% of hospitals nationwide. For the maternity care ratings, HealthGrades analyzes mothers’ complication rates for deliveries/hospitalizations and newborn mortality rates, as well as hospital volume. The study showed Methodist Charlton outperformed the national average for complication rates.

“We know it is the outcome and the quality of care that ultimately matter most to patients when evaluating their provider choices,” said Methodist Charlton President Zach Chandler in a news release.
