To be considered for the award, the nominee must demonstrate creativity in nursing management; promote the profession of nursing; demonstrate leadership through sharing knowledge and expertise within and outside the organization; develop positive intra-institutional relationships with other disciplines; and participate in a broad range of community and/or healthcare organizations. Marsee was a previous nominee for this prestigious award, as well as a past recipient of professional awards from both the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
Vicki was nominated for this honor by Sheila Ferrall, RN, MS, AOCN, and enthusiastically endorsed by Chief Nursing Officer Mary Beth Reardon, RN, MS, OCN, NEA-BC, and other colleagues.
