Bethel Homes Inc. announces the promotions of two nurses at its company. Janet Rodriguez, RN, MS, NHA, was named administrator at Bethel’s Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., and Patricia Kiggins, RN, DPS, was named administrator of The Springvale Inn in Croton-on-Hudson.

With more than 28 years of healthcare experience, Rodriguez has demonstrated the ability to render successful regulatory and accreditation surveys, has gained in-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to skilled nursing facilities, and has successfully managed program budgets and finances.

According to Rodriguez, her priority at the center will be to ensure quality of life and dignity for each resident. “It is a privilege to work in long-term care where we can make a positive difference in the lives of our frail seniors by providing them with care, compassion, and peace of mind at this vulnerable time in their lives,” Rodriguez said in a news release.

Kiggins has served in an administrative capacity at Bethel since early 2008 as the administrator of Bethel’s Home Care program, and will continue those duties in addition to her new appointment.

Under her leadership, Bethel’s Licensed Home Care Services Agency was launched and the program was accredited by the Joint Commission.

“My first passion is caring for the senior community,” Kiggins said in a news release. “They are a wonderful, deserving, special population who have lived their lives caring for others, raising families, working, and bettering their communities. I firmly believe it is now our turn to take care of them, and every effort should be made to ensure a quality life for them.”
