Baseline Prostate Testing Recommended at Age 40

The American Urilogical Association released new guidelines calling for men 40 and older to take a PSA test in order to have a baseline PSA level. Men over 50 regularly have been encouraged to take PSA tests for early diagnosis of prostate cancer. The AUA says offering baseline tests at age 40 will help identify high PSA levels at that age.
