CHOP Among U.S. News’ Top Children’s Hospitals

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia was named among the 10 best children’s hospitals in the nation, according to ranking released last month by U.S. News and World Report.

The publication chose 10 hospitals for its Best of the Best list.

Of the 10 specialties that the magazine used to rank each facility, CHOP ranked No. 1 in five of the the categories — cancer, diabetes/endocrine disorders, neonatal care, respiratory disorders, and urology.

CHOP also ranked No. 2 in digestive disorders, heart & heart surgery, kidney disorders, and neurology & neurosurgery. In orthopedics, the hospital earned a No. 3 ranking.

Also included in the top 10 children’s hospitals were Children’s Hospital of Denver; Children’s Hospital of Boston; Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles; Children’s Medical Center, Dallas; Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center; The Johns Hopkins Hospital Children’s Center; New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley-Komansky Children’s Hospital; St. Louis Children’s Hospital-Washington University; and Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston.
