U.S. Navy Corpsman Adam Kistler used his “Drug Handbook” while in Iraq.

Donna Kistler, RN, MSN, immediate past president of the Association of California Nurse Leaders, says her son Adam, 20, served his country for eight months in Iraq, and even took his “Nurseweek/Nursing Spectrum Drug Handbook” with him to use while working in the hospital.
During his deployment, the U.S. Navy corpsman worked at the base support hospital in Al Asad, caring for military and civilians in the area. He recently returned home and works at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Adam Kistler received advanced-trauma certification at University of Southern California, where he was honored for outstanding performance. He plans to pursue a nursing degree.
