Members of the nursing leadership team at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Mo., recently met with members of NurseWeek’s staff to discuss current nursing issues and stories of importance to nurses in the region.

Nurse recognition programs, advanced practice positions in acute care, community outreach, incorporating volunteers, and ensuring patient centered care in an increasingly complex care environment were all topics that were identified as having contemporary importance.
