Nurse-Owned Houston Company Wins Pinnacle Award

Marilyn Harris, an RN and Army veteran, and her company, Harrland Healthcare Consulting LLC, were awarded the Mack H. Hannah Upstart Award at the 15th Annual African American Business Achievement Pinnacle Awards, according to a news release. The award provides the winning African-American business with start-up capital and resources.

Harrland provides clinical, research, and training services to private sector, military, and government entities domestically and abroad. Harrland Healthcare has recently launched its newest product, The Veterans Infosource Project (The VIP Project), an online coaching and counseling resource for veterans pursuing higher education under the new Post 9/11 GI bill. The VIP Project is marketed to universities nationwide.
