The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program for excellence in nursing services again has designated all five Moses Cone Health System Hospitals in North Carolina (The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, Wesley Long Community Hospital in Greensboro, the Women’s Hospital of Greensboro, Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville and Moses Cone Behavioral Health Center in Greensboro) as Magnet hospitals.
This prestigious award recognizes nursing excellence and professionalism.
“Only 2% of hospitals across the country have Magnet designation, and this is extra special for us because we’re designated as a system, which is very, very, rare,” CNO Joan Wessman said in a news release.
According to the ANCC, the leading nursing credentialing organization in the U.S., Magnet designation is widely accepted as the gold standard of patient care. To reapply for and receive Magnet status for an additional four years is confirmation of the hospital’s resolve to deliver the highest level of care in nursing.
