Southeast Facilities Make ‘Most Wired’ List

Hospitals & Health Networks magazine has released the results of its annual survey naming the most wired hospitals and health systems.

Nine facilities from the Southeast region, including Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte, N.C., and Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga., were named among the 100 most wired hospitals nationwide.

Other Southeast hospitals and health systems to make the list include Duke University Health System in Durham, N.C.; Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, S.C.; Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center in Greenville, S.C.; Mission Hospitals in Asheville, N.C.; Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga.; Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in Spartanburg, S.C.

In the survey’s other rankings, South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga., made the list of Most Improved Hospitals, meaning its score improved the most from the previous year. Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Ga., made the list of Most Wired-Small and Rural facilities, and Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center in Greenville, S.C., was named among the Most Wireless hospitals.
