On March 29, Jewish Home Lifecare learned its Home Care Community Service programs in Manhattan and the Bronx, and its licensed home healthcare agency HAPI, received a three-year Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval. The accreditation recognizes Jewish Home’s dedication to healthcare quality and safety in home care.

"Accreditation is a voluntary process, and I commend Jewish Home for successfully undertaking this challenge to elevate its standard of care and instill confidence in the community it serves," Margherita Labson, RN, executive director of home care accreditation at The Joint Commission, said in a news release.

The commission’s standards address each organization’s performance in specific areas, and specify requirements to ensure patient care and services are provided safely. Jewish Home Lifecare also owns Sarah Neuman Center in Westchester.
