RN becomes CNO, VP of nursing at Nazareth Hospital

Michael Beshel, RN, BSN, MBA, MHA, NE-BC, was named vice president of nursing and CNO at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, effective June 4.

"We are pleased to welcome Mike Beshel to Nazareth Hospital," interim CEO Nancy Cherone, RN, FACHE, said in a news release.

"His skill, experience, business savvy and dedication to our values and mission will help lead Nazareth into the future as we continue to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community."

Beshel served as the vice president and CNO at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital since 2009.

Before that, he was administrative director of nursing operations at Aria Health in Philadelphia, responsible for the Bucks, Frankford and Torresdale campuses.

Beshel completed his fellowship in management for nurse executives at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

He obtained his bachelorís degree in nursing at Drexel University in Philadelphia, and he is a graduate of the Frankford School of Nursing in Philadelphia.
