Franklin Hospital appoints RN as executive director

Catherine Hottendorf, RN, BSN, MBA, has been appointed executive director of Franklin Hospital, Valley Stream, N.Y., a member of the North Shore-LIJ Health System.

Hottendorf will be responsible for the hospital’s finances, operations, quality, staff performance and patient satisfaction, as well as day-to-day administration. She returns to Franklin as executive director after having served as its associate executive director of patient care services when she joined North Shore-LIJ in 2002.

Hottendorf most recently worked at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, N.Y., where she served as associate executive director of patient care services and CNO. At Southside, she was responsible for clinical nursing, physical therapy and cardiac services.

Before joining North Shore-LIJ, Hottendorf was the director of finance for OR services at Continuum Health System in Manhattan.

She has a BSN and a master’s degree in community health from Long Island University and an MBA in management from Adelphi University.
