Northwestern College, with campuses in Chicago, Bridgeview, Ill., and Naperville, Ill., held its first pinning ceremony to celebrate the completion of the college’s first class of nursing students.

Twenty-one nursing students were included in the ceremony, signifying their successful completion of the nursing program and eligibility to sit for the nursing boards.

The ceremony took place in the auditorium of Northwestern College’s Bridgeview campus, the location of Northwestern College’s Violet Schumacher School of Nursing.

Kathy Martin, RN, MSN, acting dean of nursing, hosted the ceremy, and Elizabeth Bowler, RN, MSN, associate professor of nursing, gave a history of the pinning ceremony.
