Massachusetts hospital honored at national oncology convention

The Rockville, Md.-based Association of Community Cancer Centers has honored 10 cancer programs, including one in the New England region, for their 30-year membership in the association and long-standing support of the oncology community.

Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Hallmark Health Cancer Center in Stoneham, Mass., was honored Oct. 4 at the ACCC’s 29th National Oncology Conference in San Antonio.

"This group of 10 cancer programs helped shape the association into the leading education and advocacy organization for the cancer team," ACCC President George Kovach, MD, said in a news release. "We would like to recognize them for their long-standing dedication to the Association of Community Cancer Centers and the mission to advance quality cancer care in their communities.
