Redding consumers choose Mercy for sixth consecutive year

Mercy Medical Center Redding (Calif.) received the National Research Corp.ís Consumer Choice Award for the greater Redding area for 2012/13. The award means local consumers ranked the center as the best for overall quality, best image and reputation, and best physicians and nurses for the sixth year in a row.

The award identifies hospitals healthcare consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in more than 300 markets throughout the U.S. This is the 17th year National Research Corp. has awarded hospitals that consumers have recognized for providing high quality healthcare.

"Customer-centric care is based on the notion of extending patient-centered care to all healthcare consumers who are taking the initiative with their healthcare decisions and demanding higher quality," Susan L.
