Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital is celebrating its fifth birthday with the addition of a new 28-bed med/surg unit for orthopedic and spine surgery patients. The new unit for orthopedic and spine surgery patients will open in early 2013, Kim Post, hospital administrator, said in a news release.

Serving northeast Phoenix, Cave Creek, Carefree and north Scottsdale, the new unit follows the hospital’s accreditation as a Cycle 3 Chest Pain Center for treating heart attack and chest pain patients.
