New directors join Pennsylvania State Nurses Association

The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association recently elected five new members to serve on its board of directors.

At PSNA’s November meeting, PSNA CEO Betsy M. Snook, RN, MEd, BSN, welcomed its board members.

Patrick E. Kenny, RN, EdD, ACRN, APRN-PMH, NE-BC, will serve as secretary of the PSNA board of directors. He is assistant professor in the Department of Nursing and Health at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa. From 2007-2011, he served as president of PSNA.

Carol Ann Coles, RN, MSN, has worked as a professor of nursing at Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood, Pa., for more than 16 years. A member of PSNA for more than 20 years, Coles has served as PSNA vice president.

Latasha Kast, RN, BSN, is a staff nurse at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and serves as her unit’s Magnet champion. Kast served as president of the Student Nurses’ Association of Pennsylvania and is the co-chair of PSNA’s New-to-Practice Committee.

Donna Ayers Snelson, RN, MSN, DEd, is an associate professor and director of the Center for Nursing History at Misericordia University in Dallas, Pa. As a nurse educator for more than 36 years, she has served in a number of leadership roles.

Zane Robinson Wolf, RN, PhD, FAAN, is dean emerita and professor at La Salle University in Philadelphia. She has served as editor-in-chief of Pennsylvania Nurse, as editor of the International Journal for Human Caring, as former president of the Pennsylvania League for Nursing and as a member of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices board of trustees.
