I have been a cultural diversity trainer for about 10 years and presently a nurse educator. I introduce our students to the profound issue of human trafficking discussed in “Home-grown human trafficking” (Nurse.com/Article/Human-Trafficking). Our students are adult learners (average age of our 120 students is around 28). I would love to see law officers work with nursing to further identify these individuals. I also would like to see more formal avenues for the practitioner to follow and lean on when confronted with the situation.
