Harriet R. Feldman, RN, PhD, FAAN, has assumed the role of dean and tenured professor of Pace University’s College of Health Professions and the Lienhard School of Nursing.

Gerrie Colombraro, RN, PhD, who served as interim dean of the College of Health Professions for two years, has returned to her position as associate dean for administration.

Feldman, who recently returned from sabbatical after serving for two years as Pace’s interim provost, has been dean of Pace’s Lienhard School of Nursing since 1993 and also served concurrently as interim dean of Pace’s School of Education from 2006 through 2010.

"I was privileged to serve the university as interim provost and am delighted to be back once again to lead the College of Health Professions as we pursue an exciting future with new programs to help educate the next generation of healthcare workers," Feldman said in a news release.

Feldman has testified before Congress and presented at conferences worldwide. For her legislative work in addressing the nursing and nursing faculty shortages, she received the "Grassroots Star" award from the Association of American Colleges of Nursing. Feldman has written or edited more than 100 books, scholarly articles and editorials.

Colombraro said she is happy to be back in her former role.

"It was an honor to serve as interim dean of the college and the nursing program, but I am very happy to be back home in my role as associate dean," she said in the release.
