Abramson Center for Jewish Life honors quality improvement at staff recognition event

Employees of the Madlyn and Leonard Abramson Center for Jewish Life in North Wales, Pa., were honored for outstanding quality improvement and performance at the centerís annual staff recognition ceremony on March 20. During the Hollywood Walk of Fame-themed event, awards were presented in 11 categories, based on nominations from coworkers and the results of annual resident and family satisfaction surveys.

The afternoon event showcased the Abramson Centerís commitment to excellence in caring for the aged, according to a news release. Guest speakers and presenters included Ira Katz, MD, PhD, past deputy chief patient care services officer for mental health at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; Brian Gralnick, director of the Center for Social Responsibility at Jewish Federation of Philadelphia; Carolyn Hann, president of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Association of Healthcare Quality; Richard Fullan, director of the Muller Institute for Senior Health of Abington Memorial Hospital; Rita Leinheiser, MA, elder life specialist at Abington Memorial Hospital; and members of the Abramson Centerís board of trustees and executive staff.
