Nurse takes over as Bon Secours New York Health System CEO

Carlos G. Beato, RN, BSN, MS, has taken over as CEO for Bon Secours New York Health System, Riverdale, N.Y. He assumed his new duties April 15.

Beato will be responsible for the management and growth of the BSNY ministry and will provide leadership, vision, inspiration and direction to ensure the success of its patient, resident, physician, employee, operational, financial, community and strategic initiatives, according to a news release.

Beato has 25 years of senior-level clinical, management and business development experience in for-profit, nonprofit and faith-based organizations. He comes to Bon Secours from United Methodist Homes of New Jersey, where he served as corporate director of clinical services. Beato earned a BSN from Excelsior College, Albany, N.Y., and a Master of Science in healthcare administration from Jersey City (N.J.) State University.
