Nugent has more than 20 years of nursing experience, including managing and educating nursing and clinical staff in surgical services and central processing for facilities in Broward and Palm Beach counties. She also played a key role in the construction and implementation of an open heart/robotic room and hybrid room at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Fla.
Bethesda Health announced in February that Holly Huntington, RN, LHRM, is the new director of quality improvement and resource management. Huntington has more than 24 years of experience as an RN, maintains an active LHRM license as a Health Risk Manager with the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration and is an active member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality. In her role at Bethesda, Huntington will direct hospital quality improvement activities, hospital accreditation and utilization and resource management activities.
In February, the Bethesda College of Health Sciences also recognized their nursing students who excelled academically in the programís first semester. The following recipients of the Nursing Programís Academic Honor Awards were honored: Presidentís List (overall GPA of 4.0) — Megan Castle, Christina Geib, Mathew Huerlander and Edelyne Joseph. Deanís List (overall GPA of 3.5-3.99) — Amalie Etienne. Academic Excellence (Overall GPA of 3.0-3.49) — Wildens Beauvil, Janiecia Browne, Germilia Gede, Alicia Lajoie, Courtney McNamara, Yolanda Medeus, Jennifer Moore, Thu Nguyen, Noikha Raymond, Ericka Quiroga and Herla Tassy.
