Deborah K. Zastocki, RN, DNP, president and CEO of Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains, N.J., has been named treasurer of the Princeton-based New Jersey Hospital Association. In this position, she will serve as a key member of the organizationís board and executive committee.

Zastocki is responsible for chairing the boardís finance committee and reporting back to the full board about NJHAís financial standing.

The treasurerís post puts Zastocki in the succession plan to move through the executive positions and ultimately become NJHA board chair.

An accomplished nurse, administrator, educator and author, Zastocki began her career at Chilton in 1990 as vice president of patient care services. In 2004, she joined the ranks of 25 other female hospital CEOs in New Jersey, according to a hospital news release.

Zastockiís leadership has helped Chilton achieve numerous awards and accomplishments. This includes overseeing a $24-million hospitalwide modernization project.

Most recently, Chilton achieved Pathway to Excellence designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center under Zastockiís guidance. •
