University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center hires new CNO

University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, Md., has hired Dana Levy, RN, MSN, as CNO. Levy assumed her new duties on April 8.

"Dana is an experienced nursing executive with a proven track record and a strong focus on quality and patient-centered care," Noel Cervino, president and CEO, said in a news release. "Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to nursing excellence will benefit our organization and the community."

Before joining University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, Levy served as CNO for Banner Page Hospital in Page, Ariz. She led all clinical departments for this 25-bed critical access hospital, which is a member of the Banner Health System.

Levy earned a MSN from The University of Phoenix and a BSN from the University of Toledo and Medical College of Ohio. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, American College of Healthcare Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives and American Nursesí Association.
