Tina Stasukewicz, RN, has been promoted to director of nursing for British Home Rehabilitation Services, a division of Cantata Adult Life Services in Brookfield, Ill., where she has worked since 2006 as a full-time RN, minimum data set clinical coordinator and certified nursing instructor. In her new role as a director of nursing, Stasukewicz will supervise nursing staff, ensure standards and procedures are met and serve as a liaison between nurses, physicians, clients, families and administration.

"The best thing about working for Cantata Adult Life Services is that I get the opportunity to help clients live their best lives every day," Stasukewicz said in the release. "Whether itís through teaching, providing care or supporting my staff, each aspect of what I do requires me to give personally of myself to make a difference for someone else. That is very rewarding."

Stasukewicz began working for Cantata in 2006 as a full-time nurse. In 2007, she became a certified care coordinator through the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination and accepted the position of minimum data set clinical coordinator, a role in which she formulates and implements individual care plans for clients to promote physical and emotional well-being. Stasukewicz decided to pursue a career in nursing after being inspired by the care and compassion of the staff at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Ill., where she worked as a registry patient care technician.

"Tina has an exceptional understanding of how the administrative side of healthcare has a direct impact on client care," John Larson, CEO for Cantata Adult Life Services, said in the release.
