Nicole Myers, RN, was presented with the March DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital for five years, Myers was nominated for her compassion and exceptional care of a homeless patient in the hospitalís ED, according to a news release.
"Nicole is a dedicated nurse who makes the well-being of patients her top priority," Stephanie Reid, RN, BSN, MBA, vice president of quality and CNO, said in the release.
"She always advocates for her patients and is a role model to our nursing team."
Elaine Snedeker, RN, was presented with the April DAISY Award.
A nurse at the hospital for close to 10 years, Snedeker was honored for her extraordinary care and consistent willingness to go above and beyond her normal duties for patients and staff members, according to the release.
"Itís nurses like Elaine that make Carroll Hospital Center a great place to work and receive care," Reid said in the release.
"She genuinely cares about everyoneís well-being and goes to great lengths to lift everyoneís spirit while they are here."
A nurse at the hospital for 23 years, McDaniels was nominated by a patientís family members for her compassion and outstanding care, according to the release.
"Leisaís level of care is an example of what makes our hospital the best place to receive care," Reid said in the release.
"Her warmth, expertise and compassion allow her to connect with her patients and their family members, and reassures them that they are in the best hands when they need it the most."
