VNA executive joins statewide home care association in leadership role

Ann M. Painter, RN, MSN, CEO of the VNA of Somerset Hills (N.J.), has been elected vice-chairwoman of the Home Care Association of New Jersey, according to a news release. Home Care Association of New Jersey offers information, assistance and advocacy for home health care providers, patients and their families.

Painter has more than 23 years of experience in home health, hospice and community-based health services.

She has presented on clinical best practices at the National Association for Home Care and Hospice Conference, the future of nursing at the New Jersey Hospital Association, and as a panel expert on nursing opportunities at the 2012 New Jersey State Nurses Associationís annual nursing convention.

In addition to participation on the Visiting Nurse Associations of America education committee and quality task force, Painter briefed Congressional staffers from three states on the significant impact of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Face-to-Face Encounters requirements on home health organizations and beneficiaries during the 2012 VNAA Public Policy Leadership Conference. •
