LifeBridge Health nurse begins tenure as chair of young professionals group

Sara Ensey, RN, BSN, the cardiac rehabilitation nurse navigator for LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, began her tenure July 1 as the chair of the Young Professionals of the American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region. In this role, she leads a group of young leaders as they take part in volunteer projects, host networking events and lead fundraising initiatives, such as Run for Your Lives and Holiday Mail for Heroes.

While taking on this volunteer role, she continues in her position as the nurse navigator at LifeBridge Health, where she educates patients and families at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Northwest

Hospital in Randallstown, Md., about heart disease, its risk factors and prevention tips, and the benefits of cardiac rehabilitation.

Ensey recently graduated from the LifeBridge Health Emerging Leaders Program and implemented a stable angina program in the healthcare systemís cardiac rehabilitation program. She is also a graduate student at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, working toward a masterís in health administration and a masterís in business administration.
