Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Ill., announced that Jim Zolnowski, RN, BSN, was named nurse manager of its ICU, effective Aug. 20.

Zolnowski is responsible for the coordination of the overall operations of the ICU, dialysis and IV team in pursuit of safe, effective patient care. He will monitor standards of nursing practice, ensure availability and appropriate utilization of resources and support collaboration between nurses, physicians and other staff.

His previous leadership experience includes serving as nurse manager of ICU/telemetry at Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago and as director of critical care and gero-psych services at Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas.
