Scottsdale Healthcare nurse to join AWHONN 2014 board of directors

Cheryl Roth, RNC, RNFA, MSN, WHNP-BC, was elected in September to the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses board of directors, according to a
news release.

Roth, a nurse practitioner in labor and delivery at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare, has worked as a nurse since 1978. She has been an AWHONN fetal monitor instructor since 1993 and an instructor trainer since 2004.

The individuals elected to serve on the board are selected due to leadership in nursing education, practice, research and administration, and will take office Jan. 1, according to
the release.

“We are honored to welcome these respected leaders to AWHONN’s 2014 Board of Directors,” said AWHONN CEO Karen Peddicord, RNC, PhD, in the release. “Their expertise and enthusiasm for the nursing profession will help support the continuing efforts of our association.”
