Nurses from Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill., have the following achievements to share:

Amy McGovern-Phalen, RN, BSN, OCN, CBCN, was interviewed for ONS Connect magazine’s cover story for the Sept. 3 issue.

Joanne Abeling, RN, MS, passed the certification exam for Certified Professional in Patient Safety.

Lora Vandermeer, RN, graduated with a BSN from Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Ind.

Nancy Withers, RN, BSN, was awarded a Patient Safety Certificate from MedSun, a division of the FDA, for her contribution in promoting patient safety with medical devices.

Hazel Eslit, RN; YiChang Alice Kao, RN; MaQuennie Mamaril, RN; Theresa Parker, RN; and Jennifer Watts, RN, passed the examination for certified lactation counselor.

Patti Ludwig-Beymer, RN, PhD, CTN, NEA-BC, FAAN, was part of a team that presented a poster entitled “The effect of animal-assisted therapy on pain medication use after joint replacement surgery” at the International Society of Anthrozoology Conference on July 19 in Chicago.
